Politics on Film.

If you’ll be in Washington, DC this week, you MUST attend this event! For those who love independent films, the Renaissance Hotel will be hosting a weeklong film festival from now until August 24th.

POLITICS ON FILM, the first juried political film festival in DC will present “The Other Side of Immigration”, WINNER of the 2009 Founders Award, followed by a discussion with director Roy Germano. I was able to see this particular film when it debuted last year at the 1st festival and it was absolutely amazing!

Don’t let the word “Politics” scare you. If you are expecting long, drawn out conversations from politicians in stuffy suites on Capitol Hill, you’re wrong. Instead, I’m sure you’ll experience films from ambitious directors who desire to shed light on contemporary issues and current events. Check it out, you don’t want to miss it!
